A Letter from Governor Pattie:
Dear Soroptimist Members, Friends &
Guests:
WELCOME to the 38th
Northeastern Region annual Spring Conference- Celebrating
the Past… Preparing for the Future. Please accept this
invitation to join us on Saturday April 24, 2010.
In the interest of time and costs, our
Conference, this year, will be ONE day. Conference Chair
Cheryl Kelly has put together a very nice one-day event.
Our Business day does not commence
until Saturday morning, but the Region Board and our
Federation Guest will be arriving Friday night. If you like
to join us for dinner, please do!
I know you will give a warm welcome to
our Official Visitor, SIA President- Elect, Sharon
Fisher. Sharon will be bringing us an update from our
Federation in the morning session. During the afternoon
session, Sharon will speak to us about becoming a “Federated
Directed Region”.
I am looking forward to our keynote
Speaker for Saturday’s Awards Luncheon, Teresa C.
Younger. Teresa is the Executive Director of the
Connecticut Assembly’s Permanent Commission on the Status of
Women.
As we all gather for the day, let us
celebrate our achievements as the Northeastern Region, I
asked that you bring a display of your club’s history. Our
Region has done amazing work through the years, and will
continue in the future.
I look forward to seeing all of you.
ENJOY!
